Module Descriptor: This module provides the students with the necessary knowledge and skills utilizing the Disk Operating System (DOS) and its console command in managing data, data recovery process and as a tool in investigation on computer viruses and file management

Upon completion of the module, the students should be able to:

LO1: Understand the role of DOS as an operating system
LO2: Manage files and perform data/systems recovery by utilizing the different DOS commands
LO3: Learn the History, the infection cycle of a computer virus, classification and examples of computer virus
LO4: Manage and remove/cure computer virus by utilizing anti-virus and protection strategies for safe computing and maintenance
LO5: Identify and explain different types of tools, and testing instruments for maintaining computer systems and networks
LO6: Identify different types of cleaning aids, software diagnostics and anti-virus used in maintaining a computer systems and networks
LO7: Perform computer system software's preventive maintenance
LO8: inspect and record the condition, and other vital information of the computer systems and networks
