CSTC WifiZone “Wi-Fi has become a universal expectation among college students, and their attitudes towards technology are a good indicator of broad changes underway in how we as a society learn, work and communicate," said Edgar Figueroa, executive director of the Wi-Fi Alliance. Wi-Fi is an essential part of today's college experience. Major universities and campuses all over the country started to deploy this technology. Accordingly, CSTC College in Sariaya goes Wi-Fi.

CSTC acquired wireless routers with 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g technologies and adapters providing Wi-Fi services to classrooms, offices and grounds of the newly constructed CSTC main building in Arellano.

Mr. Noel D. Mendoza, System Administrator of CSTC College, IT Dept. stated that CSTCians with wi-fi enabled gadgets (mobile phones, notebooks and laptops, PSPs etc.) can now enjoy a fast and free internet connection within campus grounds and classrooms. With a 2.5 MBPS DSL internet connection and up to 54MPS wireless router speed, the network is geared to handle unlimited usage by wireless gadgets. However, he also stated that finding a right location for notebook/laptop users would ease and make web surfing faster. Over 200 computers in four computer laboratories and offices are equipped with wireless adapters and flat LCD display. As part of the same project, CSTC faculty and staff offices are also receiving wireless connections to the network.  Once again CSTC pioneers this technology and continues to educate citizens and build communities throughout Quezon Province.
