CSTC Celebrates Acquaintance Night

It was a festive event for all the CSTCians as they celebrated their acquaintance party at Queen Margarette Hotel last Wednesday, July 29, 2009.  The program started with the theme “A Child exposes to theatre becomes a better adult “.  Through this event, each student had a chance to look and be at their best. It all started with the doxology which was led by Mr. Quito Anthony C. Ocampo.  He also gave a very amazing number during that event.  He sang many beautiful songs which really entertained the audience. Next to it was welcome remark of Mr. Rogelio G. Borruel and the message of the respected and beloved CSTC President, Mr. Nelson D. Mendoza. Both of them encouraged all students that the said event is just a stepping stone for them to be more exposed to their environment and they should know how to get acquainted with every person they will meet. The first part ended as all raised their glasses for the toast of success and then dinner ensued. There was a ballroom dance competition after wherein all students with their respective courses are invited to join.  Each of them represented their blocks by showing their intensifying energy as they hit the dance floor with their silver toes.  From this event, the brilliant BMIT bagged the 3rd place by dancing the cha-cha; prolific CSIT bagged the 2nd place for dancing the Mambo and the foppish HRS as they grabbed the 1st place in their Rumba.  Well, they had proved their excellence! Soon after, another special number was given by given by Mr. Michael Cruz (HRS) and Ms. Jessica Marabe (BMIT).  Both of them were known as the CSTC’s renowned dancers.  And of course, the entire program is not complete without the parade of the contingents for the new Mr. And Ms. Acquaintance 2009.  It took so long for the board of judges to choose who will be the candidates.  All students looked so gorgeous and handsome with their dresses and coats but still, there are the chosen ones.  Rachelyn Pactor together with her partner, Melvin Ramos were awarded for Best Dress; Ronacel Rodriguez and Kevin Mateo for Faces of the Night; and Jason Cabalsa with his partner Vera Rusella Lanfaloni bagged the prestigious Ms. and Mr. Acquaintance 2009 award. The program was highlighted with shimmering of kaleidoscope lights and music as everybody sway their bodies to dance in the function hall which started at 12:00 midnight up to 4:00 in the morning. The said event was hosted by Ms. Mary Joyce Dando and Mr. Victor Nadela.
